It’s just a concept, of course, but it’s fun to think. The designers say it’s possible and it has drawn interest. Amenities include a waterfall, a shark feeding station, trees, a 240 foot high pent house, glass bottom jacuzzi, helipad, and underwater dining room. They really started to lose me when they said it came with it’s own submarine, lol. 8 more images !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

One thing I’ve thought about: How hard would it be to scoop up all that plastic floating in the Pacific ocean, and slowly melt it into one giant block, turning it into a floating island? Maybe not as fancy as this outfit, but still an intriguing idea.

They should build a big platform on the ocean and house all the migrants on it until there countries are safe to reenter.

Answer: Very hard.

Basically, but designed from scratch to be what it is.

“Honey, I asked the kitchen staff to have dinner ready at 6:00.”
“OK, sounds good, if you need me I’ll be in the shark feeding station.”

Then eww, if they’re gonna start from scratch it could be so much more interesting.

How about just an existing island?

I now eagerly await future improvements on this concept.

Sorry, as a Architecture grad student these PopSci-esque concepts usually drive me nuts.

Maybe as a stationary fixture built into the seabed. But that think looks like it would flip and sink at the first sight of a wave.

That should be a line in a Bond movie. Except maybe not “in” the feeding station, more like “at”? Sometimes preposition selection is reeeeaaaaally important.

you’d think that the “trees” amenity amounted to more than just 3 palm trees.

They could at least make the pillars semi-hydrodynamic...geesh.

Otherwise I love the concept.

I was picturing something underwater, like maybe even a cage or something. Sadly, there’s no picture of the shark feeding concept. I hope it isn’t simply throwing chum overboard. In that case, every boat on the water is a shark feeding station.

I picture an open pool in a room with a console for you to operate the overhead winch that lowers your enemies into the pool. The rate of speed can be controlled depending on how much you hate them.
